

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Suzanne Lowe
I was born in Perth Western Australia and as a young adult grew up in the small country town of Tom Price situated in the outback of Western Australia. Travelling extensively throughout Australia, I loved seeing the diverse landscapes and animals of the country. My current home is in Perth with my husband, two daughters and our cat Abby.
I have a Bachelor of Science Degree, and my interests include watching movies, travelling, photography and reading. I also enjoy going to Sci-Fi conventions!
I have an adventurous spirit and have had the opportunity to experience many exciting adventures including swimming with Whale Sharks on Ningaloo Reef, climbing to Mt Everest base camp, descending into one of the pyramids at Giza in Egypt, flying in a hot air balloon over the Valley of the Kings, parachuting from a plane at 12000 feet and sitting on the edge of an active volcano on Tanna island in Vanuatu!
I am a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, the Australian Society of Authors, the Australian Science Fiction Association and the International Travel Writers Association.
My first novel Seventeen, published in 2016 is a YA post apocalyptic drama set in outback Australia. Seventeen won the 2018 New Apple award for YA in Sci-Fi/Horror and 2020 Bronze medal Readers Favorite YA Science Fiction Award.
The second novel in the Series is called Rage and continues with the story of sisters Lexi and Hadley and their survival in Jaspers Bay.
The Pirate Princess and the Golden Locket, published in 2018, is a children’s pirate adventure story featuring Lotty an adventurous young orphan and her cheeky dog Mr Jacks. In 2019 The Pirate Princess and the Golden Locket was awarded a bronze medal in children's adventure stories by Readers Favorite Literary Awards. In 2020 The Pirate Princess and the Golden Locket received a Book Excellence Award in Pre-Teen literature and was an International Book Awards finalist.
The second book in the Pirate Princess Adventures , The Pirate Princess and the Sirens' Song published in 2020 continues the story of Lotty and her cheeky dog Mr Jacks.
