ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Suzanne Lowe

​

​

Suzanne was born in Perth Western Australia and as a young adult grew up in the small country town of Tom Price situated in the outback of Australia. Her current home is in Perth.

 â€‹

Suzanne has a Bachelor of Science Degree, and her hobbies include running, photography, and writing.

​

She has published seven books including the award-winning YA survival series Seventeen set in the harsh Australian outback.

 

Seventeen was awarded best Sci-Fi/Horror for an eBook by the New Apple literary awards and also received a bronze medal from Readers' Favorite International writers’ competition.

​

In 2020 her middle grade fiction novel The Pirate Princess and the Golden Locket was awarded both a bronze medal and a Book Excellence Award in Pre-Teen Literature.

​

In 2021 The Pirate Princess and the Sirens’ Song won a Book Excellence award for children’s writing.

​

In 2022 Suzanne became the Producer, Behind the Scenes Photographer, and 2nd Cinematographer for the Western Australian feature film The Canary. The Canary was filmed wholly in regional and city areas of Western Australia with a micro crew during the Covid pandemic.

​

Suzanne is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, the Travel Writers Association, the Australian Society of Authors, the Australian Science Fiction Society, and the Northern Exposure Photography Club.
