Excerpt from book
"After collecting metal pots and spoons to help us make a lot of noise, our group met back at the captain's tent. My heart was beating fast. The last few days had been the most exciting and frightening I had experienced in my whole life! The early morning sun had started to rise giving the sky an orange tinge. Everyone gathered around excitedly, nerves on edge ready to carry out the captain’s orders. The plan was for seven men to stay behind to protect the pirate’s camp. Four men were to go with the captain in search of the treasure, and three men plus myself, Jasper and Mr Jacks, were to create the diversion. I thought our job was by far the hardest and most dangerous, but I knew that we could do it!"
The Princess and The Golden Locket, is a deliciously Enchanting, fast-paced Swashbuckling Adventure.
There was plenty of exciting Twists, mishaps, mayhem, witty narrative friendships and lovable characters.
A wonderfully uplifting, vivid rich tale that stole my heart.
It was simply a joy to read.

"5 stars! I have been a fan of pirate adventures since I read Treasure Island as a child, so when I saw The Pirate Princess and the Golden Locket I jumped on it immediately. As an adult reading this, I can honestly say I enjoyed every bit of it and I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to read so that she can immerse herself in Lotty's amazing story. Suzanne Lowe's pacing of her story is brilliant for this genre; the story is quick, clean, and fun. I liked how much thought and detail was given, even to the minor characters like Red Face and Jasper, but most of all I loved how Lowe connected everything sweetly in the end and left room for more. I believe the author is working on the second novel and, without a doubt, I'll be looking forward to it. I would recommend this to people with elementary school-aged children; it's an altogether wonderful and wholesome story."

I loved The Pirate Princess and the Golden Locket by Suzanne Lowe. When I read a book for children I’m always thinking of children that I know. I know what they are looking for in a book and I know what their parents and grandparents are looking for in a book. Suzanne Lowe’s book meets all their requirements. The Pirate Princess and the Golden Locket will be especially fun for young girls to read because they will identify with the protagonist. Charlotte has had a hard life but is brave, cheerful, positive, and helpful. She strives to do her best, no matter the circumstances, and is sure that things will work out even in her darkest moments. I like her, and I like her story. I’m sure young readers will too.

"The Pirate Princess and the Golden Locket is one of the best stories I have read since I’ve been the proofreader and editor for Readers’ Favorite, and that’s over three years. Your writing clearly shows your creativeness and your talent, and you got me with the ending. I didn’t see it coming. It is rare that an author can fool the reader. Usually, the endings are so predictable. This is an award-winning story. And you left it open enough for a sequel. Lotty’s adventures continue, I hope!"

“The Pirate Princess and the Golden Locket by Suzanne Lowe is a marvellous adventure story for children of all ages.
Ms. Lowe does a superb job of bring this adventure story to life, with wide array of characters and events that are vividly described. Suzanne Lowe weaves this adventure tale with enough surprises to keep you on the edge of your seat. The story moves along at a near breakneck pace, and there is no let-up in the action. For a book that really isn't very long, it is by no means short on all of the elements that make this book action packed. I was immediately drawn into the story. The Pirate Princess and the Golden Locket was just a joy to read from beginning to end, and tough to put down. The Pirate Princess and the Golden Locket by Suzanne Lowe is a page-turner for sure. Brava!”
